Morgane B

Meet Morgane, mother of one, as she shares her journey through her first month postpartum. She reminds us that it’s okay to take time to adjust and that you’re never alone on this journey.

"It will pass."

A sentence I wish I had heard every day during the first month postpartum; it would have made a world of difference.

Everything was so new and overwhelming, with emotions running high and hormonal drops making it difficult to cope. I felt trapped in this new life and genuinely believed I would be stuck in this stage forever.

But in reality, it's a transition period. Society often expects us to bounce back quickly and return to our joyful selves just because we’ve given birth. However, it’s important to remember that it’s okay not to be okay. It’s okay for it to take time to adjust to this new role of motherhood. Every complicated and even dark feeling will eventually pass.

During this time, leaning on others, friends, family, partners, communities, and experts, can make a significant difference. When we find ourselves in a tough stage, we tend to retreat into a bubble, but reaching out to those who care and can offer support is crucial. They can truly help us navigate these challenging moments.

Motherhood can be a lonely journey, but remember, you're never alone!
